Why give death importance?

Every time I am emotional

I ask for death

Every time things don't work out for me

I ask for death

Do I even realize what will happen if death actually knocks at my door? 

Have I realized what will my parents go through? 

What will life be like for them?

It all took a death of a dear friend,

Near escape of death of my cousin,

And the presence of my family with me

While some who were unable to have one

To grasp it all. 

Today, I ascertain how grateful I am, 

to God, for the gift of life and everything I have. And now I won't ask for death, instead embrace it when it comes to me.
